Facilitation

My first facilitation assignment was with 100 senior civil servants from the Cabinet Office. Since then I've worked with a wide range of organisations (see Clients) designing and delivering innovative and focussed organisational development or consultation events. The methods I use most frequently are  Open Space,  Knowledge Cafe,   and Appreciative Inquiry

These large group processes allow any number of people to work together on the issues that matter to each of them.  They generate extraordinary levels of energy, focus and creative outcomes.

Coaching, Conversations and Consultation

Sometimes people find it useful to have a one-off or series of one-to-one sessions to discuss particular management issues.  My approach is informed by 25 years of leading successful adult and further education colleges and attachment-based therapy.

Book

Getting on Brilliantly - recipes for successful meetings published by Optimus and NIACE, full of practical ideas that you can use to bring out the best in yourself and the people you work with. It contains over 80 process tools for groups and organisations to change and improve the way they work.
